INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONAL PAINTER
Shortened C.V.
I am moved to transform my interior emotions, visions and my gathering of experiences onto the canvas. I work in the moment and usually with my fingertips. I have created work that I intended to be uplifting and I have also made art that I wanted to be confrontational with the intention of affecting social changes. Once I have completed a painting, the viewer may gather what they wish to from it as I believe the painting when finished has a life of it’s own.

I was moved to create this series of original acrylic paintings in the Spring of 2013 while in residency at the Ozu Cultural Centre in Italy.
I am inspired by the elements of earth, fire, water and wind. I created THE ELEMENTS Water #5 by using acrylic paints and working in the moment. I believe that I draw upon my experiences, dreams and intuition when I paint. I also strive to use the materials with sensitivity to transform these areas of knowledge. I hope that viewers may find something of themselves within each painting I create. However, I believe that when a painting is complete, it gains a life of it's own and viewers are free to gather up whatever they feel, sense or see from the painting.
