Halil Turker
In the academic year 1984 he graduated from Ondokuz Mayis University’s College of Education - Painting Teaching in the Primary School Department. In 1986 he received his Master’s and in 1992 his Ph.D. degrees both in the Art Painting Department of Mimar Sinan University - Social Sciences Institute - Fine Arts Faculty.
During his studentship period he worked in various graphic agencies and in Orhan Buyukdogan’s studio as animation artist of TRT (Turkish Radio and Television Company) and produced animated movies for the Ministry of Culture.
Between 1991 and 2001 he worked as lecturer at the Anadolu University – College of Education – Fine Arts Education – Department of Painting. In 2001 he is appointed as a lecturer to Ondokuz Mayis University’s College of Education - Fine Arts Education Department. He currently works at the same institution and keeps working on Painting, Graphic and Sculpture.
In 1993 he received the “Regional Council Prize” (Prix du Conceil Regional) at “Grand Prix International D’Arts Plasteques da la Ville de Nice – France”.
The artist has eight solo exhibitions (the first one presented in 1994 at Government’s Fine Arts Gallery - Eskisehir) and attended to many international and national competitions and group exhibitions.
He is a member of Plastic Artists Association and Istanbul Exlibris.

The artist focused himself especially on his works which he developed within the airbrush technique and devoted himself to the solution of the abstract space problematic in painting.
His abstract paintings, consisting of industrial aesthetic compositions of geometrical shape elements, maintain the concept of “Neo-Geo”.
