Location:

Rashawn is a visual artist, writer and mother born in Michigan. Working mostly in acrylic and oil paints, Rashawn's work incorporates vibrant colors, words and fresh techniques in order to convey, with visuals and with writing, the emotionality of the subjects and experiences within the art being created. Many of the pieces incorporate original writings, essays and/or poetry.

Rashawn has studied art since her teen years, including Commercial and Graphic Arts and Basic Drawing at Wayne State University, all before graduating high school! After  experiencing initial success with her first official gallery showing in December of 2015 at Sherwood Forest Art Gallery in Detroit, Rashawn's art has since been exhibited with the 2017 and 2018 Black ID Exhibits at the Carr Center, in Brooklyn,NY with RawArtist.com and in California at the home of the famed, Detroit-born song-writer Allee Willis, for the “Willis Wonderland” Art Party in 2018.  Rashawn also participated in the 2022 New York exhibit and partnership of Olay Body and The Fearless Artist!

Rashawn is currently exploring the joys of oil painting and pursuing a Degree in Liberal Arts at Henry Ford College!
