I have been creating art in a variety of media for decades .
My works bring together a variety of materials, textures and colors, often contrasting the natural world with temporal iconography. It is at once experimental, unexpected, whimsical; reflecting influences from my travels around the world and decades-long work creating experiential attractions.
My body of work is rooted in social awareness, diversity and political expression.
I see the world in formats large and small. Sometimes filling large pieces with diminutive images and personal remembrances which resonate and stimulate. At other times, broad imaginative strokes prevail among unusual materials with unique properties.

This [series] represents a few of Ralph’s contemporary conceptual artworks. The thought and application of processes and materials he adopts are unique to each series and defines how the finished works are crafted.
With a background in design and production of conceptual immersive experiences, Ralph engages viewers to emotional and thoughtful responses. Through expressive mark making, unusual mixes of media and provocative subjects, his work capture meanings far deeper than their surface application reveal.
City of Fallen Angel, 2009 (63” x 90”)
The scene contains the hidden contours of a fallen angel within the blended maze of a darkened city, with dawn breaking, casting the angel into deep shadow, forever inseparable from the city, frozen in transition from the netherworld to the never more. Upside down, the City is highlighted by a starry night sky.

Swirling colors on a raw canvas, a ghostly face appears, vanishing into its ethereal ghostliness. The canvas strips away the amorphous figures taking shape and dissipating beyond the curtain revealing the structure of canvas below. {RM_089]

Everything is interconnected, especially for artists who contemplate the unthinkable within the context of the possible, unifying both in a snapshot of creative expression to inform the viewer.

The complicated tapestry of modern life is seen through oft-repeated expressions of chaotic slices of life gaining meaning through their juxtapositions, repetitions and temporality.
22 collages, created for exhibition at Spectrum Miami by Ralph, speak to the myriad of visual intrusions into our daily lives. Panels feature memorabilia from his travels around the world and decades-long work as an experiential designer and producer.
The panels are layered with original art, acrylic embellishments and embedded objects from his studio-arranged according to their own unique textual and imaginative qualities to reflect modern trends and social commentaries.
