During my life time I have and continue to create art from many different materials and for various reasons; to convey an emotion, as a response to the world around me, as a form of meditation or perhaps for the simple act of creating. Having said that, this series of circular drawings serve as a metaphor for life and a form of personal meditation.
As many cultures have observed in the past and as science seems to be revealing today life appears to flow in repetitive circular cycles; one needs only to stare out at the stars or down into a microscope to see how closely the macrocosm and microcosm mirror each other. These drawing serve as a visual reminder of these life cycles and the repetition and similarities between all things around us.
