At 17 years Giorann was accepted at the Royal Worcester Porcelain in the UK on a one year foundation course. She entered the school where she was taught to paint on china and porcelain, making moulds and sculptures. On completions she was offered a place at the factory floor on the enameling section painting dinner ware, thimbles, children’s birthday mugs and limited edition Dorothy Doughty Bird Plates.
Giorann took over the organizing of the Marina Bay Arts & Crafts market in Gibraltar, which she continued until she founded the Gibraltar Arts & Crafts Association. She achieved a BA Honors in Fine Art and History of Art through the Open University. Twenty years on she teaches children and adults to draw and paint.
Giorann is quite a conservative artist. Her training in porcelain painting made her love to paint flowers and stylistic landscapes. She is influenced by her moods and paints with different mediums according to the energy she derives from the day. She particularly enjoys painting outdoors capturing the Mediterranean colours and scenery which surround her home town.
