I have been passionately fond of material and fabrics since I was a little boy.
I have dedicated my professionnal life to creating and making clothes, costumes, accessories and theater settings (Lyon, Paris, London, Leeds, New York, Miami, Venice...). I have been making quilts since 2005.
The first article about my work was written by Naomi Ichikawa, managing director of the Japanese magazine “Patchwork Quilt Tsushin” (number 139, August 2007).
Since then I have been in more than fourty International Textile exhibitions In France, Europe, United States. I keep thinking that textile art should be available and appreciated by a greater audience.
Not being a quilter of the traditional sense I feel free to use many different materials such as metal, glass, leather, paper, plastic in my work, though most of it is still done with fabrics.
Through my quilting I am trying to explore the infinite varieties of textures, colours and transparencies just as others would use painting, wood or stone to make their intimate world come to life.
I am very interested in the nature of human beings and take all my inspirations from the universal and timeless mysteries such as death, solitude, love and vanishing time.
