Karen J. Sander (Colombia, 1962) studied at the Art League School in Alexandria, VA and in Cali, Colombia South America with Plutarco Leon Idrobo Manzano and Guillermina Strohbach where she advanced her knowledge of oil and lithographic ink techniques and with Jairo Rosas Miranda acrylic. In addition, she took courses in the application of metal with Karen Christians at the Artisan Asylum in Somerville, MA. and watercolor with Clementina Ampudia.
In 1994 Karen received her Masters degree in International Business from Southern New Hampshire University. In 1991 she received her Graduate degree in International Business from the same university. Karen also studied Piano Performance and Composition with a Concentration in Sound Engineering at Berklee College of Music.
