My name is Laura Kucharyson, and I have a passion for God’s creative world and portraying that world on canvas. There was always a potential art project just waiting to be created in my little world. At the age of 12, I was introduced to the joy of oil painting under the instruction of Evelyn Adams, an accomplished Colorado artist. Adams’ attention to detail and mastery of mixing colors has influenced my art to this day. Living in Colorado most of my life with my husband and 3 boys, we took advantage of hiking, camping, enjoying the golden colors of the aspen in autumn, and the snowy wonderlands of the Colorado winters. These years inspired many landscapes that you can see by visiting my web site at www.kuachrysonart.com In 2006, the family moved to Florida, where the ocean quickly became a new passion.

After 22 years as a music teacher, and raising my family, my husband encouraged me to focus on art. I began this new adventure at the Art Gallery of Viera, taking lessons from a world-renowned pallet knife artist, Robert Lebron. In October of 2012, one of my paintings, “Aspen Grove”, was entered in Brush to Success through the Art Gallery of Viera, and a few months later, I found myself a member. In December of 2018, I became the Website Director at the Art Gallery of Viera and the journey just continues.

This mindset has inspired me to study under several accomplished artists in the Brevard area such as, Meika Aton, Damien Share and Slone Keates, as well as the influence of the many artists who are a part of the Art Gallery of Viera. On Friday mornings, I have the privilege of teaching “Oils with Laura” at the Art Gallery of Viera where I find myself learning as much from my students as they learn from me. One unique item that you will find included in all of my art work is a scripture verse. One verse is easier to find then another so let your search begin. It is my passion to continue painting God's creation and to share this with others. It is my love for my God, my family and my friends that motivates all that I do.
