Marta Zawadzka (b. 1981, Bialystok, Poland, 2000-2005- Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning- Technical University )
Currently lives and works in Warsaw, Poland. Using her background in art and architecture as well as her extensive experiences in design Zawadkza favors working large scale with her paintings and installations. Though her passion lies in the world of painting she does not limit herself to the canvas, having been known for produced murals in bars and restaurants or even on occasion on mobile phones!
Within her portfolio one can find a mixture of beautiful portraiture of iconic figures from music and cinema, wildly intense expressionist abstractions and distant travelled lands. Not being one to shy away from a vivid colour palette Zawadzka draws inspiration from her urban surroundings in the production of all of her work, focusing on the importance of pleasure in harmony to the viewer.
She has worked with mega brands such as Samsung, Grolsch, Ikea and Chanel and has acquired recognised clients from all over the globe such as Slash from Guns N' Roses.
Having worked as an art educator in the past, Zawadzka now works solely as an artist allowing herself to travel and exhibit her work internationally.
Her work can be seen in galleries in the UK, US, Belgium and Poland.
