My passion for painting began at age 13 when I took a basic oil painting course my uncle was teaching. Since then I have been developing my own style using oil on canvas and employing various dry brush techniques.
Since moving to the west coast I have been inspired to paint more landscape but I ultimately enjoy sculpting the abstract visions that spill out of my head and onto the canvas.
Exploring the inner subconscious imagery with light and colour as well as creating abstract views of beautiful landscape are both things I feel compelled to do. The end result is something I hope others can enjoy as much as I do.
Moonrise. Oil on canvas 24"x 48", painted in 2009. This painting was completed shortly before I moved to British Columbia from Ontario, It turns out that it looks alot like where I ended up living.
