John Ligtenberg (Apeldoorn, 11-07-1954)
John started with figurative painting, but because of the development he went through he also creates abstract work nowadays. He organizes Workshops in The Netherlands, Italy and Czech Republic. John currently has his studio located in Castle Dorth near the Hanseatic town Deventer in the Netherlands.
Art is a form to reflect his emotions and feelings . In his special technique and warm colors, John expressed the inner complexity of man in relation to nature, society and the elusive. He creates his world in acrylic and oil paint. “The image is created from my mind and is expressed through my soul”. Direct, impulsive yet also cautious, he goes his own way and continues his journey in developing as an artist.
Exhibitions in Moscow, St. Petersburg, New York, Rome, Florence, Milan, Venice, Mannheim, Bruges etc.
