Artavita is holding a contest for the three most powerful works of art giving expression to the new epoch in which we find ourselves. The world has abruptly changed. It is a desperate time, but also there is hope. Our perspectives have changed in ways that few could have imagined just three months ago, and we have to get used to seeing things in a completely different way. There are important conclusions to be drawn for the very future of humanity.
We believe that art is one of the most important ways human beings can give expression to their perceptions, their hopes, their fears and to visions and goals for the future.
To this end, Artavita will award what we consider to be the three most compelling and thought-provoking artworks themed on this new epoch. The entries do not have to be narrowly associated with the actual disease. They can focus on emotions, hopes, fears, dreams, even prospects for the future. They can be concrete or abstract.
We will display the winning works and the following 21 runners up in a virtual exhibition in the new Virtual Exhibitions section of the Artavita website, and also on social media. The three winners will also be featured in “Current Masters” Volume V, the next book to be published by World Wide Art Books, this coming October.
