The boarders of reality

From the first line I ever drew and up to the works living in my fantasy, understanding the relation between ourselves and the world, has always been the fixed and unchanging question. As is claimed by modern scientific thought, perceptible material reality is an illusion of human physiology, created in specific areas of the brain with the help of our sensory organs. Moreover, according to Plato, what our senses perceive is but “the imperfect depiction (the appearance) of the original Form (the essence) of a particular object, a particular concept in its archetypal dimension.” This is the illusion I wish to illustrate, extending its boundaries through memory and through a particular aesthetic approach.
I usually work with a sketchbook where I try to capture everything and I literally mean everything it tickles my interest. A landscape , pictures of antique zoology books, old fotos , an image in a movie, in the papers. When I work on a painting, I use parts and particles from this sketchbook to set up my painting .My latest works are going one step further and are based on the aesthetics of vintage posters, where I can tell my story through a number of images .

Three woman and three wolves “Three woman and three wolves ”

Like for a theater play , a poster painting give us clues about what the play is about . The colors, the forms , the combinations , the themes are supposed to Intrige and lead to a closer look and to thoughts about the meaning

Opera DEI Pupi “Opera DEI Pupi ”

Amy work explores the mythology of identity, which, through the processes of decay and deterioration of memory, creates false kaleidoscopic images towards a continuous reformulation and reconstitution of the “self”. My main concern, which appears throughout my work, is the revelation of the authentic core of humans, of the truth that lies in the inner psyche and its denudation from misleading social norms and roles.

How many boobs ? “How many boobs ? ”

. Femininity in the edge of power and vulnerability, is trying to find the way of expression between the east and the west culture. This two worlds are because of my family history always present in my works

Traveller “Traveller”

Interpreting our world joins hands with the realization of its illusion and this is expressed using elements of the illustrations of North European fairy-tales dating from the last century, in which perspective and proportions are distorted or lighting is unrealistically employed. My wish is for this “light” distortion of normality to force a more attentive view, in order for the observer to join me as I travel inwards, following this representational illusion, and to thus become immersed in the feelings and thoughts this experience may offer.

It’s all about power “It’s all about power ”
