Hi there, here are some of my recent works, all inspired by the Scottish landscape.
“EARLY MORNING, LOCH CLAIR, TORRIDON”
Acrylics 2018
98 x 98cm in Frame
£950
This view from the summit of a peak called Sgurr Dubh looks northwards over the torridon wilderness and it's loch, loch Clair, in the Scottish Highlands, just as the sun begins to burn through the early morning mist and low-lying clouds - an experience sent from heaven!
Acrylics 2017
96 x 81cm in Frame
£795
Torridon in the North West Highlands of Scotland has a raw power and majesty all of its own, with its justly famous mountain ridges towering over the placid, peaceful loch. I try here to capture some of the sublime peace of an evening moment.
Acrylics 2017
87 x 87cm in Frame
£750
This intimate winter beachscape comes from Rigg Bay in the Scottish Lowlands. I was very interested in the lyrical expressive quality of the overhanging branch in comparison with the colour and textures of the bay.
My medium of choice is always acrylic paints, as I find their range of paint quality from heavy body to fluid, gives me enormous scope for experimentation and expression.
Acrylics 2018
88 x 68.5cm in Frame
£650
Two birds on a mission animate the beautiful natural harmony of sky, sea, rock and flora on the Solway Coast
A colour study of the gentle tideline, bathed in a warm evening glow.
