The process of creating metallic sculptures that does not involve pouring molten metal is relatively new. The techniques vary and may be referred to as “metal coating”, “bonded metal”, “cold castings” or other descriptions. These methods utilize finely ground metal powders suspended in heavy liquid resins which can be applied to the surface of sculpted images made of a variety of materials.
gold_bronzeBronze, brass, copper, iron, pewter and silver formulas are available. They are strong, long lasting and durable.
The metal coatings used by Naples Metal Art contain more metal powder than many other commercial preparations available and therefore are very hard when cured.
