My process of drawing is like crossing a threshold from the ordinary to the non-ordinary world. The visual language of dreams, symbols, botanicals, sacred geometry and imagery from ancient cultures stir within me like awakened cellular memories. Fragments of these ideas activate as if entering an ecstatic trance. It’s a visual journey of connection with a descending energy of Spirit. There’s a particular joy I feel when making a pencil line move across paper or a crayon scribble creating a splotch of color. Hinting at a shape, drawing is likened to a process of allowing energy to move through me onto the paper. My focus is to capture this imagery from the subtle planes of vibration. Throughout this process I’m reminded again and again, that as multi-dimensional beings, we have the ability to tap into unseen wisdom and knowledge symbolized by color, shape and movement. Drawing for me, is an exploration of space, time, matter and energy of the multiverse.
