As a militant artist, this new project bears the mark of a cry, that of Man confronted with the multiple attacks regularly made on the marine ecosystem. Two parts are presented here:
"The sea AND all its beauty" (a set of canvases without any particular message, abstract canvases that invite to immersion, one of those, very numerous, that the author has known through his 14 World Records of Freediving).
The other part "The sea IS all sabotaged" (where about fifteen large format paintings insist on this or that problem that could destroy the environment: black, white, green or brown tides, noise pollution, radioactivity, nets, plastics... etc etc etc ).
This is a sometimes nightmarish vision of the current situation.
In a way, it is my life that I paint. A way to be part of the necessary collective awareness and, in the medium-term future, to present here and there, a pedagogical exhibition rich in lessons to a very large public, especially schools. A very very large format canvas (4.50m/7.50m) will complete and present the synthesis of these 2 approaches. Ambitious project in perspective supported by a specific scenography (sound and light, installation...).
