A series of portraits made in studio with ambrotype technique on aluminium plate of 20x25cm
CADMIUMBROMIDE is the name of my personal photography project begun in 2014 in Woodstock. I’m particularly fond on my own project both for the technique and the relationship that is created between the portrayed subject and the photographer.
I consider the wet plate method my personal interpretation of fine art.
Every single shot is unique and the end result is a mix of that beautiful interaction between the portrayed subject and the large format machine, likewise, between the photographer’s vision and the surprise at seeing the picture taking shape on the plate, before your eyes.
I’m an advertising photographer based in Milan. I take care personally of all the stages of the shooting production both in studio and on location. In my spare time, usually I go around taking pictures.
