I am semi retired and love to travel with my 9X12 #140 Strathmore pad, my Sharpie Ultra Fine ink pen and five or six sticks of pastels or acrylics to color in my "finds" I am motivated to capture fleeting impressions that are often very fragile moments in my life. Although I sometimes use a camera to record what was going on, my painting where there was no camera, and no time, seems to be the most authentic.
