Shaul Elbaz - Sculpture by Yotzrim-Israeli Art Gallery

Shaul Elbaz, born in Morocco on 1943, came came to Israel at 1956 and after a short period he started his studies of Modeling ceramic at Betsalel (the most famous Art institut in Israel). With a teacher as Gedula Ogen who headed the "Ceramic Modeling Department" Department at "Betsalel" the young "boy" could excel and by the years he became himself an expert in Ceramic modeling. Meir Ronen (one the most famous Art critic) had written in "Jerusalem post": "A new qualified generation of ceramic artists is his way to the summit". Doctor Gideon Efrat, known as the severest critic Art, said in that occasion that the "figurines"of Elbaz outlines the way who can possibly be a developing a "Folk Art" in our land"
Despite all of these compliments, Shaul had chosen to dedicate himself to education. During almost 5 decades he excelled to "create" a new generation of young people dedicated to various domains of Art. The last Decade was dedicated to his "second love": Sculpting.
This decade saw series of exhibitions in all over the country where the main "moto" was "the Creation
At these days he lives in Magal kibuts with his lovely wife Jacky and who is inspiring every work made by him
