Hueppis body of work titled «Microorganisms» depicts the captivating aesthetic structures of cells, viruses, bacteria and other tiny organisms found within our bodies on a microscopic level. Although inspired by microscopic images these paintings are not simply enlargements of photographs. Using a radical and loud acrylic palette combined with his unusual dripping technique, which both serve to give his paintings an extreme artificiality, Hueppi creates a hypnotic parallel world of iridescent micro landscapes.
Despite their digital appearance these paintings are all hand made and no computers were involved at any stage of the painting process.
