Margaret La Bounty’s Artist Statement
As a professional artist for over 30 years, my work continues to reflect the continuum of life and spiritual exploration. I was born in Colorado in 1951 and have always had an insatiable interest in the arts and my world around me. “I feel my art over the years have grown and evolved starting in the Western US. I am comfortable with the fact that my art is as varied as the color spectrum, and I view my work as a diamond that has many facets, waiting to be unveiled”.
My art has taken me around the world to show in many venues. I have been featured in many major art journals and magazines and I have received many awards for excellence in the arts, yet I am still growing and pursuing the mysteries of life and forever fine-tuning my talent as master. I am always learning.
I am proud to have received awards, commissions and installations for my art over the years. Such as the “Lorenzo il Magnifico” metal in sculpture at the Biennale in Florence Italy, commissioned to do an International Airport, and collected by museums for art installations in New York, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, and North Dakota.
I have been invited to exhibit my art in what is called “most prestigious art event in the world, “The Exposition at the Eiffel Tower.” They have invited “The most important artists in the world to participate at "La Grande Exposition Universelle" that will be held inside the Eiffel Tower, “Gustave Eiffel” Hall on the first floor
