I am a painter from the UK in the West Midlands.Born in Jamaica and grew up in Wolverhampton where i attended the Wolverhampton Polytechnic as it was then called.I graduated with 1st class hons in fine art 1980.
I have exhibited widely in the west midlands and had many other art shows, also took part in the touring exhibition Transforming the crown :African,Asian and Caribbean artists in Britain 1966-1996 in the USA .
Subsequently solo exhibitions included the Ikon gallery in Birmingham England. Some of my pictures can also be seen on the BBC website.
My work represents many things including fire ,water and ancient markings on landscapes. It's the essences of an abstract nature which interests me .
I can vary my techniques from thick paint to washes in energetic strokes of colours and application.
I prefer to use broad brush strokes and be involved in the creative process wholeheartedly.
I would like to hold exhibitions and contribute to current art trends across the spectrum.
