Inspiration
Banksy and Artist Ai Weiwei is my inspiration to map social issues and political oppression. Ai Weiwei's work inspired me to investigate, verify and expose the sham policies and injustice of global oppressive governments. How the current global political system is running, forces me to address the issues of injustice in my artworks. I am using multiple tools like drawing, painting, collages and the internet, for a specific purpose that is to bring social and political change and awareness in every individual about the responsibilities and rights of citizen and citizenship. The works I did in my masters are almost direct criticism to global governments Directive comments come when anybody is forced or oppressed then life becomes a kind of torture like the contemporary global governments are politically oppressing and torturing civilian citizens. The textual comments and figures I have drawn in works refer to the citizens who are psychologically and physically tortured by their governments and the citizens who are tagged and sold as brand [Terrorist,
Anti-national] like the current government in India is charging activists generating fake allegations and rewarding them with imprisonment. I am addressing political and social issues to highlight and impact the viewers and to bring awareness for the betterment of society. Overall, I believe my works have the power to show the oppression of government and the pain of citizens. Kala Bhavana made me able to stand socially and politically.
