Since graduation in 2000, BA (hons) Vis Arts, I have been a studio artist developing a practice which embraces both painting and sculpture. My work attempts to find processes which investigate and explore issues of a political, environmental or cultural nature from a female perspective. Frequently using found objects, along with oil paint, wax, soil, text, all chosen as signifiers of place and era, the work seeks to make sense of and broaden the understanding of my role in contemporary female identity.
