SHORT STATEMENT ABOUT THE WORK
The relationship between man and history is the main concern of my work.It attempts to explore
the form and structure of history , and to evaluate our context within it, creating a narrative which
can perhaps be read as the struggle between traditional values and the all consuming march
of progress.
I do not exclude all associations and symbolism from the works.
Although dealing with universal issues I feel the work has a strong East European character wich
has developed through an exploration of the affinity between the Romanian Ortodox an Greek
traditions.
The sculptures by Rodin and Cesar, and drawings by V.Velickovic, interest me in figurative art.
I let my spirit go to transform, translate, add or substract to bring out the charm, the beauty,
the sweetness wich I want to give them.
