Even at the lowest moments of life with emotions are spent and spirits are exhausted, special memories can renew and refresh our sense of well being. With a momentary pause taken to ponder, one can hear the crash of waves, the smell of sea air, or feel the brush of a soft breeze on the cheek and know that the simple pleasures of life bring forth a quiet beauty to the soul and courage to face the challenges that may lie before us.
Renewal is one work in the collection, Discarded. This collection manipulates and transforms once tossed materials into central elements of design and intrigue of each piece. In Renewal, the seemingly indestructible Tyvek envelopes found in a trash bin are used as the solid base element in the piece. A close inspection will reveal the once green triangles hiding among the shaded edges of the work.
