Extract from the Art review of Sirenes, by Wilson Wong, New York. Sirenes appears to combine a gestural lyricism that can be compared favorably to the early Abstract Expressionist works of Philip Guston with a chromatic complexity that would do the Color Field master Jules Olitski proud. Her ability to combine these elements so successfully suggests that one might think of her as an “Abstract Impressionist” Read the whole art review at www.sirenes,no or at http://www.agora-gallery.com/ArtistReview/Sirenes.aspx

Last month I entered 5 of my works in a juried online contest presented by Light Space Time Online Art Gallery at www.lightspacetime.com. It was an open, themed ("Countryside"), international contest. 343 entries from 14 countries competed for top honors. My painting "Open Gate" landed in 20th place receiving an award In the "Special Merit Category". "Cottage Landscape" a black pen drawing received an award in the "Special Recognition Category". I'm very happy and proud to have two of my works to win awards in the same contest against top artist from around the world. Go to www.saatchionline.com/ronkendall and check these two winners and the rest of my portfolio out. Also go to my Face Book Page, facebook.com/ron.kendall.142, and post a Like and/or a comment.
