MYSTICAL SPACE

posted by Lalit k Jain

We think of the universe in three-dimensional terms of time, space, and motion. We think of space in terms of height, length, and width. We think of time as past, present, and future. We speak of ourselves as having physical, mental, and spiritual life. The world about us can be seen as having mineral, plant, and animal life

CHEMINEMENT

posted by kujawa

DEBATE ABOUT "THE ROLE OF MUSEUM"

posted by John Powell

DEBATE ABOUT "THE ROLE OF MUSEUMS" Museums are our new churches,as agreed by many.Millions flock to them to be inspired,or distracted from the times...; *Couldn't museums do a better job at displaying art in a way that fully engages our emotions?* Why can't museums organize their collections in such a way as to convey art's life-enhancing possibilities and even inspire us to become better people?*Can art make you become a better person?*But isn't that taking the "art as religion" line a bit too seriously?*Does it implies that, museums have a social function, even a didactic role to play?*The museums ever soaring visitors proved that museums are already doing a great job? *"ARGUE FOR OR AGAINST THE MOTION": MUSEUMS ARE BAD AT TELLING US WHY ART MATTERS?
