I worked in an engineers drawing office for 15 years. After redundancy I did a Fine Art Painting degree at Loughborough University School of art, graduating in 1994. Using oil colour I paint expressionistic and symbolist type pictures of my poetry.
I am Frieda Linke living in the town of Stayner Ontario, where I own and operate my gallery & art supply business. Painting is my perferred medium; my work has been classed as Contemporary Realism ranging from landscapes to portraits in acrylics and some oils. It has only been in the last 5 years I have made my work public, at the age of 52 better late than never! In this time I have gone from a simple home studio to owning a registered gallery and I did my first national exhibition in Montreal in 2010.
