Embarking on my current artistic journey, I find myself in the company of a diverse and vibrant cast of collaborators. From the industrious honeybee and the purposeful foraging fork to the enigmatic polecat and the evocative fishing hook, my creative ensemble expands to include the serpent goddess, oats, oyster shells, honey, wax, oil, milk, bells, candles, incense, white Kurti, and the cardinal points.
These entities form the backbone of my research-led multidisciplinary art practice, each contributing a unique voice to the symphony of transformation that unfolds within my work. Together, we navigate the intricate dance between nature and symbolism, utilising a palette as varied as the elements themselves.
In the studio, I draw inspiration from this collective energy to draw, paint, sculpt, and perform. Each stroke of the brush, every sculpted form, and the resonance of performance contribute to the evolving narrative. I compile soundscapes that echo the rhythmic pulse of collaboration, creating an immersive experience that transcends the boundaries of traditional artistic mediums.
In this convergence of diverse mediums, I explore the profound potential for metamorphosis. The honeybee hums in harmony with the bells, while the serpent goddess intertwines with the scent of incense. Oats and oyster shells become vessels of exploration, and candles cast a flickering light on the intersection of the tangible and the symbolic.
Through this collaborative journey, my art becomes a conduit for introspection, inviting viewers to witness the alchemy of creation and transformation. The cardinal points guide us through a narrative that transcends boundaries, offering a sensory experience that resonates with the essence of change, growth, and the beauty inherent in the evolution of both self and art.
