My art is about Duality in Space using Nature such as Water or Trees and Architecture as the main thread. I start by deconstructing the Space in two parts to illustrate a Duality. Duality is interesting because it implies a tension or opposition between two elements but it also involves a range of possibilities between the two.
Ice is a solid element but melting ice is a transitional state between solid and liquid which can evolve in these two ways according to external temperature. Climate change for example illustrates this kind of situation. It opens up possibilities between different states which can evolve in the direction of improvement or deterioration.
My paintings shows this breaking point where everything is still possible in the good or the wrong way. Duality concept is a constant research to find the right balance between things.
