Lumen printing is an alternative form of photography that doesn't use a camera. I find similarities between the process of capturing lumen images and my grandmother’s flower pressing. Just as my grandmother carefully pressed flowers between the pages of a book to preserve their beauty, I capture the essence of plants and flowers in my lumen images by pressing flowers against light-sensitive paper. The resulting photographic images are not only visually stunning but also hold a personal significance for me.
My art reflects my appreciation for the peace and beauty of the natural world, a feeling that I hope is felt by those who view my work.
