SEARCHING

Searching, reaching. they know it’s here somewhere. They can feel the coldness biting into their soft edges, sweeping into their core, like a metal placing ice into cosy snow-laden bellies. The chill is resolute against the winter sun that’s doing its best to warm up the world. Stretching still further they see that pure blue ceiling, that never ending unbroken platform that resides above the clouds, if only they can climb high enough.

Wintry skies greeted Skye this morning - lovely for the first day of January. Snow-laden clouds with sepia-tinged bellies have been wisping away in the wind over the Minch.

Bubbles of colour spring up across the mountains, invigorated by their misty hibernation of the last few days. Rose-tinged bursts come forth like mini fireworks over the bay.
