SEMIOTICS AND AI ART
posted by Pierangelo Blandino
This sample by my sister Isabella merges Friedrich’s and Rothko’s masterpieces to depict Gadamerian notion of Fusion of Horizons (1968)
This graphic elaboration renders the intersection of art and semiotics to reflect upon new possible dimensions inherent to significance (De Saussure, 1916), meaning, and representation.
In turn, it purports the idea of showing how AI generated art is non-rivalrous to human prompted works of art.
Methodologically, it can develop two recent publications of mine on these topics; they can be accessed at the below links.
