Dazzling dancers shimmy their way through the meadow, their enthusiasm infectious as they pass, twirling and swishing in the heady sunlight. It's a time of wonder, of an uncensored moment of glee. Not so rare in the happening, but perhaps rarer in true appreciation.
This picture is called the prayer of Our Father. According to the Gospels, Jesus, having heard that John the Baptist was killed, went on a boat (πλοῖα) to a deserted (Matt. 14:13) place near Bethsaida (Luke 9:10). A huge crowd from several cities followed Him on foot. When Jesus got out of the boat and saw a large crowd, He had compassion on them and healed the sick. In the evening, the disciples approached Him and told Jesus to let the people go to the villages to buy food for themselves, because it was already getting late. Jesus answered, “You give them something to eat” (Matt. 14:16; Mark 6:37). The disciples said that they only had five loaves (ἄρτους) and two fish. After that, Jesus said to bring food and people to sit on the grass. It is especially noted that the people sat in rows of 100 (Mk. 6:40) and 50 people (Lk. 9:14).Taking the bread and the fish, looking up to heaven, Jesus gave thanks. Then he broke bread and gave food to the disciples, who gave it to the people.
Bundles of abundant heads rise and smile at you winningly, batting lashes and knowing they’re at their most fetching. Spring hues abound as these beauties seek to claim your heart, seasonal passions overflowing in their own perfection.

The sunniest of days bestows the brightest of rays on these basking blooms, who feather their petals like plumage. Boldly reaching out, yearning for that happy dose of glowing warmth. Their sought-after measure is gratefully received and they fan themselves out to create the most wondrous of ornamental displays.
